DJI OSMO – 3- Achsen Handheld-Gimbal Kamera im Test
Für viele Influencer spielt die Technik in der Fotografie eine sehr große Role und es stellt sich immer die Frage : Brauche ich wieder etwas Neues ? Ich habe den DJI OSMO Handheld-Gimbal getestet und verrate euch hier, wie praktisch dieser ist und ob ich langfristig mit dem Gimbal auch weiter arbeiten werde.
Was ist überhaupt ein Gimbal ? Bereits bei meiner Drohne von DJI ist an der Kamera ein eigebauter Gimbal vorhanden – es ist ein Mechanismus, der beim Filmen die Kamera stabilisiert, so dass ungewünschte Bewegung reduziert wird. Der DJI OSMO ist eine mobile Kamera mit einem 3-Achsen Gimbal und liefert hier die beste Ergebnisse.

Was kann der DJI OSMO überhaupt?
Der DJI OSMO hat eine eigebaute Kamera (ähnlich wie bei der PHANTOM Drohne) mit der das Filmen und Fotografieren möglich ist. Ich bin schon von der Kamera an der Drohne sehr begeistert und so liefert DJI hier ebenfalls eine lichtstarke Kamera dazu (F/2.8 -F/5.2), die zusätzlich zu den Jpeg Bildern das DNG Format anbietet. Die Stromzufuhr liefert hier eine einzige wiederaufladbare Batterie, die im Handgriff eingebaut ist. Die Videos sind in der Qualität sehr anspruchsvoll und so könnt ihr im hohauflösenden UHD /4K Modus mit 4096 x 2160 pxl oder im regulären HD oder FullHD Modus filmen. Wichtig ist hier vorher zu prüfen, ob das finale Wiedergabemedium diese Qualität auch ohne weitere Probleme abspielen kann.

Hier sieht man leider nicht die volle Qualität von UHD, da mein Bearbeitungsprogramm und Youtube einige Schwierigkeiten mit der extrem hohen Auflösung hatten. Die Qualität für Soziale Netzwerke und Blogs ist jedoch total ausreichend in FullHD oder HD. Das war mein erster Versuch des Filmens und man merkt, dass es noch etwas Übung bedarf. Besonders beim Drehen oder Auf-Und Ab Schwenken sollte man auf die richtige Geschwindigkeit achten.
Wie bedient man den Gimbal?
Die Installation und Bedienung sind auch ohne Anleitung sehr einfach und in Kürze für jeden verständlich. Der Gimbal hat drei beweglich Achsen, die durch ein leichtes Drehen in die markierte Richtung geöffnet werden. Die Achsen sollten am Ende wieder fest verschlossen werden, damit diese beim Transport nicht beschädigt werden. Diese drei Achsen machen es möglich, dass die Kamera die jeweilige Position ausgleichen kann und sanft mit eurer Filmbewegung mitgleitet. So wird beim Laufen das “Auf-und Ab” Wackeln verhindert. Anschliessend könnt ihr ein Smartphone zur Live Bild Übertragen befestigen. Hier wird an der Seite eine extra Halterung mit einem Drehverschluss angebracht (hier unten im Foto).

Für die Live Übertragung benötigt ihr die reguläre DJI GO App – mit dieser lassen sich auch andere Geräte wie die Drohne ebenfalls steuern und bedienen. Braucht man unbedingt die Live Übertragung und die App ? Es ist nützlich, da man über die App die Video- und Foto Einstellungen vornehmen kann und zudem auch den Gimbal kalibrieren kann. Es ist definitiv einfacher, wenn man sieht, was man gerade filmt. Das Smartphone überträgt also nur die Ansicht der einbauten Kamera und gibt euch zusätzliche Einstellungs Möglichkeiten.
Was muss man beim Filmen beachten?
Die Installation der App und das Verbinden mit dem Gimbal über die WIFI Funktion ist hier schnell erledigt und ihr könnt mit dem Filmen beginnen. Ihr steuert alles über den Gimbal – so ist hier ein großer Start-Knopf (mit dem roten Punkt), der die Aufnahmen startet und beendet. Gleich daneben ist ein Bewegungsknopf, mit dem ihr die Kamera zusätzlich steuern könnt. Ihr könnt hier eine vollständige Drehung der Kamera über diesen Knopf steuern. Hier ist es wichtig, dass ihr die Kamera sanft gleiten lässt und nicht ruckartig von links nach rechts bewegt.
Auf der Rückseite befindet sich der Knopf mit dem man zwischen drei verschiedenen Einstellungen wählen kann. Einer davon bringt die Kamera in die Selfie Stellung, so dass ihr in einem Griff euch selbst filmen könnt,, ohne die Kamera manuell drehen zu müssen.

Wie gut ist die Kamera?
Diese Frage wurde schon vorab gestellt, bevor der Beitrag erschienen ist. Selbstverständlich ist dieses Kriterium das Wichtigste bei der Anschaffung dieses Gimbals, denn die Resultate sollen auch am Ende überzeugen. Wie zu Beginn schon erwähnt hat DJI auch bei der Drohne eine ähnliche Kamera eigebaut, die meinen Anforderungen definitiv gerecht werden. Ihr könnt auch hier bei dem Gimbal über die App alle wichtigen Einstellungen, wie Weissabgleich, ISO, Blende manuell einstellen. Ihr könnt auch zwischen Jpeg und DNG (RAW Format) wählen und könnt daher auch bei schwachem Licht immer noch sehr gute Aufnahmen machen. Die Bearbeitung der Fotos lässt daher im DNG Format viel Spielraum zu und dunkle Bereiche lassen sich ohne großen Qualitätsverlust gut aufhellen.
Wie praktisch ist der Transport beim Reisen?
Je mehr Equipment man hat, desto schwieriger wird es irgendwann alles praktisch zu verpacken und zu transportieren. Der DJI Gimbal wird in einem gepolsterten Case geliefert und nimmt im Koffer nicht viel Platz weg. Ihr könnt ohne Sorge diesen in der Koffer legen, den der Gimbal ist hier sehr gut geschützt. Ohne großen Mühen findet alles im Case auch seinen Platz – das ist nicht immer bei allen technischen Geräten der Fall, denn einmal ausgepackt hat man gelegentlich Mühen die Einzelstücke wieder passgenau einzuordnen – nicht hier!
Mein Fazit:
Der Gimbal ist sehr lohnenswert, wenn man qualitativ gute Videos ohne großes Fachwissen erstellen möchte. Ihr könnt mit ein wenig Übung tolle Videos vom nächsten Urlaub erstellen und müsst euch nicht wirklich in dem Bereich gut auskennen. Der Gimbal ist sowohl für Anfänger als auch für Profis sehr gut geeignet und für mich gehört er bei jeder Reise in den Koffer!
