My Instagram Journey to Australia with 5 other Instagramers and a spectacular #iwillneverforgetthismoment helicopter flight!

InstagramerHere i am ! After i dont remember how many hours flight – guess around 24 h + 4 hours waiting (from Berlin to Abu Dhabi, then to Sydney and finally the short 4 hours flight to Cairns) i arrived in Australia where dear Lauren (@laurenepbath) was already waiting fo me together with Brian (@brianmatiash) AirportI couldnt believe i made it finally to big Australia! Yeeeah! Lauren took us to the Resort in Cairns by car.  Welcome to „Melaleuca Resort“ in Cairns.

ResortEach of us had a very nice beachfront apartment. It was so close to the beach that i could hear the waves!.

The poolI was tired but to excited about beeing here and meeting the other instagramers and explore Palm Cove and the area. This was a kind of very natural and very warm pool surrounded by palms. The Beach in CairnsJust few steps from the apartment i discovered finally the Beach! What a view! It was time to see if everone arrived. First I knocked on Chris‘ door and said hello for the first time ( i just knew him only from IG and his pics – i guess he is the biggest Instagramer in Sweden – but here you can take a look @wisslaren )  We decided to met the rest of the Instagramers next day in the morning to go to the Beach. At the beachCan you see who is shooting there in red shorts ?  Yes this is Lauren 🙂  I will introduce the other missing Instagramers later. Instagramers at workHere you can see Instagramers in action. Chris & Lauren – i guess they didnt saw me taking a picture of them , while they were busy catching the perfect moment at the beach in Palm Cove.Cairns in BWThis is my first result in Black & White. It was more a mistake as i forget to take my filter and tried to make a long exposure without.  Instagramers BreakfastClose to our apartment we found a nice restaurant for a first break. This is how it look likes when Instagramers eat & work.  The food was delicious there! Every morning a fresh juice and an omlette with cheese and tomatos. Me under waterNext day should be a spectacular day as we planed to go to the Great Barrier Reef. We started at the Marlin Marina in Cairns and took the Ship to get there.  Here you can see me happy underwater! I still cant believe i was there!.Under waterYes you can find Reef-Sharks there! But there are not dangerous!Great Barrier ReefThis is the Marina at the Great Barrier Reef from where you can enjoy the underwater life. Ok this is not the best picture to introduce Oliver @ovunno  from Spain, but it shows that the group was a funny one and we had also lot of fun together.Instagramers having funIs this #Instaswimming ? or #Instasnorkeling ?goldie_berlinI was snorkeling for the first time and was very excited but i think i managed it well for the first time without any big accidents. Having fun underwater is cool but its much cooler to see everything from above and here we go with the spectacular helicopter flight.HelicopterAfter a safety introduction the first helicopter arrived to pick up Lauren, Brain & Chris.  Oliver, Hiro & me waited for the next one. I was so nervous! Some of you should already know that i am afraid of flying or hights at all.Inside the HelicopterOnce we have been in the Helicopter ther was no return. Where would we go ? Its pretty loud inside when you talk to eachother with the Headset. The view was more than amazing!Great Barrier ReefThis little island i remember from a postcard, maybe it was another one but it looked the same. A tiny island middle in the Great Barrier Reef.Great Barrier ReefOur Nemo Helicopter landed and we had only bit time as the island is flooded by the water after few minutes and dissapears .me and the heliInstagramers at workIt was time to go back! Ahhhh. wait i forget to tell you the story how i dropped my Iphone from the helicopter. Yes i did. Guess i was nervous or soemthing. But this is a picture of the situation:Lost IphoneOk, Thanks to Oliver for the Picture and yes this is Hiro (@hirozzzz) a very very nice guy you can have great conversations with- on the right. They couldnt believe this happens to me. How? I still dont know. The window was open, i tried to make a picture and next moment i saw my Iphone flying away.InstagramersThanks to Lauren – she borrowed me another one for the last days of the journey.

Next days we visited the Butterfly Sanctuary in Kuranda. Many beautiful Butterflys to see there.Sanctuary  Meet the coala at the Wildlife Habitat in Port Douglas. They are soooo sweet and fluffy. I wish i could have taken one home.KoalaSo many animals to see. My favourite one was this little jumper (Kangaroo). KangaruYou can feed them and they are not afraid. They are eating straight from your hand. KangaruMaybe a kind of  a #jumperselfie ?Whats upThere are not only sweet and fluffy anaimals – we saw also a crododile couple. I dont really like them, but somehow the picture looks interesting  (more the green eye of the crocodile)CrocodileThe Wildlife Habitat cares for sick or injured  animals brought into the Habitat by the local community. This was a little baby crocodile.  Small but already dangerous to me.Baby CrocodileHere we are again in our Palm Cove favourite beach restaurant for breafast. If you ever see people in a restaurant doing what tehy do, you can be sure that this are Instagramers doing some #pornfood images. Instagramers at workThis is the result of the photography session. This is how it looks likeThe last day we drove to the Milla Milla Waterfalls and i will never forget the ride having so much fun together (laughing all the time about vomiting. Yes we made that vomit noise and talked about vomiting, guess its a jetlag disease)  Instagramers Hello OvunoThis is my last impression from a great journey and i will keep even more moments in my mind. AustraliaThanks to Lauren, Hiro, Oliver, Brian and Chris for a wonderfull funny time in Cairns /Australia (it was such a big pleasure to meet all of you and i hope we meet one day again) and of course

Big thanks goes to Queensland Tourism for the invitation!
