Unterwegs mit dem KODAK Ektra – Smartphone statt Kamera
Ich bin viel unterwegs und habe eigentlich immer meine vollständige Ausrüstung dabei. Hier fängt aber auch das Problem im Urlaub an. Muss man wirklich soviel Equipment mitnehmen ? Oder reicht das Smartphone vielleicht auch aus ? Ich habe daher einen Test auf mehreren Reisen gemacht und zeige euch, welche Vorteile das neue KODAK Ektra als Smartphone bietet und warum es unbedingt bei jeder Reise dabei sein sollte.
Kompakt bei jeder Gelegenheit
Besonders im Urlaub möchte man Vieles sehen und festhalten, damit auch die Freunde und die Familie zu Hause später, oder noch zeitnah alles miterleben dürfen. Wenn wir einen Ausflug unternehmen, dann werden nur die Wenigsten von uns eine Kamera Ausrüstung mit schleppen wollen. Besonders in Thailand war es sehr praktisch, da wir jeden Tag tolle Gerichte gegessen haben, aber auf der Erkundungstour auf einem Roller nur sehr wenig dabei hatten. Ich war daher sehr froh, dass das KODAK Ektra nicht nur kompakt, sondern besonders vom Gewicht nicht zu merken war.
Alle Fotos, die ihr seht sind mit dem KODAK Smartphone erstellt worden (alle im 16:9 Format und etwas bearbeitet).

Ich fotografiere eher selten Essen, aber auf dieser Reise tatsächlich einfach mehr, da es schnell und unkompliziert ging und ich mit dem Ergebnis auch zufrieden bin.
Wie schon im ersten Teil erwähnt könnt ihr einen bestimmten Mode (Einstellung) für jede Situation nutzen. Ihr könnt zudem das Bild sofort mit Snapseed schnell bearbeiten, da hier die Funktion „Bearbeiten mit…“ zum Standrad gehört.

Bei meiner Reise nach Mauritius hatte ich auch weniger sonnige Tage und so sass ich bei Regen gemütlich auf meiner Terrasse und beobachtete den Himmel. Es waren nur wenige Sekunden, an dem dieser Regenbogen am Himmel erstrahlte . Wie ihr sieht ist Schnelligkeit im Urlaub nicht ganz unwichtig. Wann kommt man dazu so einen malereichen Regenbogen festzuhalten? Auch die Abreise in Thailand auf dem letzten Bild war ein Spektakel. Der Himmel erstrahlte in vielen Farben und die Kamera war natürlich schon verstaut. Mit dem KODAK Ektra ging alles wieder seh schnell und die Farben können sich auf allen Bildern sehen lassen.
Schnelligkeit ist gefragt
Fremde Länder sind immer interessant und gelegentlich muss man auch schnell sein, wenn ein kleiner Affe über die Strasse hüpft oder ein ein Rentier den Weg kreuzt. Hier habe ich mich schon ab und zu mal geärgert, dass ich gerade keine Kamera hatte, oder die Qualität am Ende nicht ausreichend war. Entweder war das Bild unscharf oder es hat einfach zulange gedauert, bis das Foto ausgelöst wurde. Dieses Foto habe ich aus dem Fenster während der Fahrt in einem Bus in Thailand gemacht und bin tatsächlich mit dem Ergebnis mehr als zufrieden. Besonders einige Situation möchte man so festhalten wie sie auch sind und nicht lange an einer Kamera die Einstellungen erst anpassen – da wäre der Vater mit seinem Sohn schon mehrmals an mir vorbeigefahren.

Einige ruhige Tage am Strand können erholsam sein, wenn da nicht diese traumhafte Kulisse wäre. Besonders am Strand muss man eine Kamera gut verpacken, damit sie nicht beschädigt wird. Ich hatte das KODAK Ektra Smartphone in einem kleinem Wasserfesten Beutel zusammen mit anderen notwendigen Dingen und daher war es schnell griffbereit. Die Ananas hatte ich mir vom Buffet geliehen und hab hier die Qualität der Serienfunktion getestet. Wie habe ich dieses Foto gemacht ?
Einfach die Ananas leicht hochwerfen und gleichzeitig die Fototaste länger gedrückt halten. Am Ende habt ihr mehrere Fotos zur Auswahl und könnt die beste Aufnahme auswählen.
Die Qualität überzeugt
Die wesentliche Frage stellt sich aber immer : Reicht die Qualität aus ? Die Frage ist natürlich zu ergänzen : Wofür ? Ich kann die Fotos für ein Fotobuch nutzen und sie ausdrucken lassen, kleinere Bilder für die Wand erstellen, in Sozialen Netzwerken teilen oder als Postkarte (Extra App) verschicken. Was braucht man mehr ? Natürlich könnt ihr keine City Light Poster drucken oder euch eine Fototapete daraus machen, aber wie oft macht man das mit den Fotos auch ?
Ein Sonnenuntergang in Bangkok fotografiert aus der zwanzigsten Etage eines Hotels durch die Glasscheibe. Einen kleinen Trick gibt es hier schon, denn ich habe das Smartphone ganz dicht an die Scheibe gedrückt und dann das Foto ohne eine Reflektion bekommen. Sicherlich kann man die Hochhäuser in weiter Ferne nicht mehr einzoomen, aber das wollte ich auch nicht, denn dieser Anblick als Ganzes ist einfach perfekt. Ich habe hier mit Snapseed einfach nur etwas mehr Sättigung hinzugefügt und dieses als Postkarte noch verschickt.
Mit einer Kamera wäre das etwas schwieriger, da in der Regel das Objektiv noch einen minimalen Abstand zum Glas gehabt hätte (Der Aussenring des Objektivs ist nicht eben mit der Linse)
Ich liebe bunte Blumen und in jeder größeren Hotelanlage findet man wunderschöne Motive. Das linke Bild ist auf dem Weg zum Frühstück entstanden, wo ich den Tontopf mit diesen Blumen gefunden habe. Auch die Nahaufnahme der gelben Blüte, die ich am Strand gefunden habe eigenen sich perfekt als tolles Urlaubsmotiv. Wer von euch nimmt seine Kamera zum Frühstück oder zum Spaziergang am Strand mit ? Meistens das Smartphone ( auch wenn es vielleicht mal im Zimmer bleiben könnte). Dem KODAK Smartphone sei dank, dass ich diese Urlaubsbilder ergattern konnte.
Mit einem Klick ins Netz
Im ersten Teil habe ich euch schon die Vorteile aufgezählt. Ich möchte aber besonders nochmal die schnelle Bearbeitung mit Snapseed erwähnen. Die meisten von uns wollen ihre Urlaubsimpressionen mit anderen Teilen und bevor die Fotos ins Netz gehen, werden diese erst bearbeitet. Das KODAK Ektra hat die bekannte App „Snapseed“ als Standrad App installiert, so dass ihr hier nicht erst die App öffnen müsst und aus der Kamera Rolle aus 1000 Fotos suchen müsst. Einfach das gewünschte Foto suchen und dann auf die Funktion klicken „Bearbeiten in….“ und schon öffnet sich die App und das fertige Foto kann ins Netz.
ABSCHLIEßENDES FAZIT
Urlaub nur mit dem Smartphone ? Ja das geht und ist oftmals einfach spontaner, schneller und man hat weniger zu tragen. Besonders überzeugend finde ich das Design des Smartphones, welches durch die größere Linse auf der Rückseite an eine Kamera erinnert. Dieses gibt einem schon das Gefühl, dass man tatsächlich fotografiert und nicht einfach schnelle Schnappschüsse macht. Vielleicht ist es auch nur unterbewusst, aber auch ich habe hier immer sorgsamauf die Komposition , Licht, Farben geachtet – wie bei einer richtigen Kamera.
Das Gewicht ist eindeutig unschlagbar, es ist fast Federleicht und gelegentlich musste ich nachschauen, ob ich es wirklich in der Tasche habe. Die Funktion der Bearbeitung mit Snapseed macht meine Entscheidung, das Smartphone als sehr gut und empfehlenswert zu bezeichnen. Wenn man regelmässig viele Fotos macht und sich hier einiges auf dem Smartphone ansammelt, dann wird man diese Funktion schätzen.
