Instagram für Unternehmen – Mehr neue Follower ? Effektiver Aufbau eines Accounts

Im Netzt gibt es inzwischen 1000 Artikel und Tipps wie man mehr Follower bekommt, nur für mich stellt sich immer die Frage: Woher wissen Menschen, die es selbst nicht schaffen eine gute Zahl an Follower vorzuweisen, wie es geht ? Ich sage: Gar nicht! Das sind meist alles Spekulationen und Analysen von Ergebnissen, ohne die Ziele zu kennen. Wer Erfolg haben möchte, sollte sich immer an Menschen orientieren, die bereits erfolgreich sind – das gilt für alle Bereiche im Leben! (was machen diese Menschen anders, als die anderen?

WÄHLE EIN INTERESSANTES THEMA, WELCHES DIE MEHRHEIT BEGEISTERT! 

Die Masse macht es am Ende, das war schon immer so und wird immer so sein, egal ob in der Filmindustrie, Musikindustrie oder einfach nur bei Instagram. Warum? Spezielle und außergewöhnliche Dinge werden immer kritisch begutachtet und finden nur selten bei der Masse Zuspruch.

1. Welche Themen sind interessant auf Instagram ? 

Sport, Fitness, Beauty, Fashion, Reisen, Hotels, Shopping, Essen, Fotografie im Allgemeinen

Bitte lasst die Finger von qualitativ schlechten Mitarbeiter Bildern, einfache Selfies will auch keiner mehr sehen, hinter den Kulissen mit dem Smartphone (dunkle, rauschende Bilder), Essen – Food Photography muss gelernt sein.

2. Wann sollte ich posten ? Gibt es die beste Zeit dafür ?

Die Mehrheit der Instagramer aus Europa ist ab 9 Uhr – 23 Uhr aktiv.  Empfehlenswert ist es daher mit dem ersten Bild gegen 9 Uhr anzufangen, das zweite dann gegen 14 Uhr und das dritte gegen 19 Uhr.  Das sind einfach Zeiten, die sich auf die Nutzung des Internets im allgemeinen stützen, da morgen vor Arbeitsbeginn (beim Kaffee) die User aktiv sind, dann nach dem Mittagessen oder zur Mittagszeit allgemein und am Ende eines Arbeitstages. Ein Bild, welches gegen 9 Uhr gepostet wurde, kann von den Fans auch noch am Abend geliked werden.

Möchte man hier Fans der anderen Kontinente einfangen, dann wäre für die USA die Zeit gegen 22 Uhr vorteilhaft und der Asiatische Raum deutlich in der Nacht unserer Zeit.  Wichtig ist wie schon im ersten Teil erwähnt. Die Regelmässigkeit!

NO GO:  Ich sehe leider viele Accounts, die etwas nach Lust und Laune posten : Montag 3 Bilder, Dienstag – Donnerstag kein Bild und Freitag wieder 5 Bilder!

3. Wie oft muss ich bei anderen Liken ? 

So oft es geht! Die Aktivität ist der wichtigste Teil beim Aufbau eines Accounts. Ich sehe viele Accounts, die einfach ein Bild posten und sich dann wohl weiter der Arbeit widmen und Instagram stehen lassen! Instagram lebt von der Community und von gegenseitiger Wertschätzung.

  • Sucht euch 2-3 relevante Hashtags aus, die mit eurer Marke in Verbindung stehen

  • Morgens, mittags und abends jeweils 30-60 Minuten diese durchgehen und bei Gefallen liken und kommentieren

  • liked zu Beginn Bilder, die weniger als 500 likes haben, damit die User dieses auch registrieren ( bei Bildern, die bereits 1000 Likes und zahlreiche Kommentare haben, geht euer Engagement wahrscheinlich unter )

  • Kommentare innerhalb der ersten 20 Minuten bei größeren Accounts schreiben, da die größeren Instagramer in den ersten Minuten nach dem Upload noch wachsamer auf die Kommentare achten als nach 4 Stunden

Hier habt ihr eine Übersicht wie es aussieht, wenn ein Bild zahlreiche Kommentare bekommt  – da wird es schwieriger aufzufallen

Hier wird euer Kommentar deutlich besser wahrgenommen und die Response auf eure Arbeit macht sich schneller bemerkbar:

4. Antwortet doch mal auf eure Kommentare und Fragen!

Nichts ist schlimmer als eure Fans im Regen stehen zu lassen. Ich habe das schon so oft erlebt, dass ich eine Frage stelle und nie eine Antwort bekomme. Warum – weil wir wieder bei Punkt 3 sind. Bild posten und dann verschwinden! Zu Beginn ist es wichtig, der Community zu zeigen, dass ihr es ernst meint! Ihr müsst nicht jeden Kommentar beantworten, aber zumindest Fragen!!!  Zudem steht es auch in den Community Guidelines: Trage zu einer starken Gemeinschaft bei!

Hier ein Beispiel von TUI Deutschland – ja ich arbeite mit ihnen zusammen und das aus gutem Grund! Hier wird nach Möglichkeit immer geantwortet und auch meine Bilder werden nach Möglichkeit wertgeschätzt:

5. Wem sollte ich als Marke folgen ? 

Wenn ich einen Account sehe, der im Profil über 1000 Followings hat, dem folge ich definitiv nicht. Warum nicht ??

Ganz einfach, hier ist oftmals das Motto : Je mehr Leuten ich folge, desto mehr folgen mir zurück.  Lest euch doch bitte mal die Community Guidelines durch.  Wenn ich mehr als 300 -500 Leuten folge, dann aus gutem Grund – zudem muss man sich dann auch die Zeit nehmen, den Feed durchzuschauen. Ich folge ca. 280 Leuten und verbringe im Schnitt 3-4 Stunden pro Tag um die Fotos zu liken und zu kommentieren. Wenn also Accounts über 1000 Leuten folgen, weiss ich zu 99%, dass sie keine Zeit haben werden, um jemals meine Fotos anzuschauen.

  • Sucht euch Account mit ähnlichem Inhalt, um euch Inspirationen zu holen

  • Mitbewerbern, als reine Marktbeobachtung

  • Instagramer, mit denen ihr euch eine Kooperation vorstellen könnt ( ab 40.000 Follower )

  • Folgt nicht jedem Mitarbeiter, Freund oder Instagramer, den ihr irgendwo kennengelernt habt – das sammelt sich nur wieder und ihr seid immer noch als Marke unterwegs.

  • Folgt Instagram selbst, da ihr hier auch immer auf dem Laufenden über Projekt und Updates (und gffl. relevante neue Projekthashtags)

Empfehlung ist zu Beginn die Anzahl bei ca. 100 -200 Followings zu halten. Bei den größeren Accounts müsst ihr einfach geduldig sein. Wenn euch dann aber ein größerer Account folgt, dann macht sich das später auch bemerkbar. Wie ? Die großen  Instagramer folgen auch nur ausgewählten Accounts (in der Regel 100-300), sobald diese ein Foto liken, sieht man dieses in dieser Timeline :

Praktisch bedeutet das: Wenn ich ein Foto like, dann sehen es meine 240 Tausend Follower auch . Wenn es jemand mit 1000 Follower liked, dann sehen es nur 1000 andere.

6. Welche Hashtags soll ich nutzen?

Nur die passenden! Quatsch! Bitte zudem nicht alle in der Überschrift. Als Marke hat man einen Haupthashtag – der etabliert werden soll und dieser sollte öfter in der Bildüberschrift erwähnt werden und im Profil. Die Fans sollen langfristig eure Marke eigenständig im Netzt verbreiten und das funktioniert nur, wenn sie wissen welchen hashtag sie nutzen sollen.

  • Passende Hashtags als Suchwörter zum Bildinhalt ( #sunset, #dog, #hotel oder was auch immer auf dem Bild zu sehen ist)

  • Community Hashtags, da hier oft aus diesen Bildern, die besten zum Repost genutzt werden und das kann wieder neue Follower bedeuten (#beautifuldestinations #photooftheday #ig_nature #beautifulhotels , #igers_Stadt , #instagood usw.)

  • Trending Hashtags ( hierzu gibt es zahlreiche Apps z.B. Instatag)  – welche sind aktuell die meist genutzten Hashtags ?

Ihr könnt bis zu 30 Hashtags nutzen, tut dieses aber bitte erst nach dem Upload  – einfach in als eigenen Kommentar hinzufügen.

 

7. Soll ich Bilder von anderen Usern auf dem eigenen Account „Reposten“ ?

Bitte nur Fotos, die auch wieder zu eurer eigenen Bildsprache passen und max. 1-2 Woche. Ein Account einer Marke oder eines Unternehmens, der nur von Fremdbildern lebt zeigt, dass er keinen eigenen interessanten Content hat. Die Leute folgen euch, da sie authentische und echte Fotos von euch sehen wollen!

Fazit: Instagram ist ein soziales Netzwerk welches vom Geben und Nehmen lebt! Ihr wollt neue echte Follower, die euch unterstützen? Dann tut etwas dafür und wartet nicht, dass ein Account von alleine wächst! Ihr wollt Engagement ? Dann engagiert ihr euch bitte auch!

Instagram for Brands – More Follower needed ? How to grow your account the best way.

You will find many different articles on the web with advices how to get more follower on Instagram – but my question is always: How do those people know whats the best way even they don’t have many Follower themself ? They dort really know!  Most of them are just suggestions or assumptions.

If you want to be successful (in every part of your life)- just take a look on people who are already successful and ask yourself – what are they doing what i am not?  

CHOOSE A TOPIC OF INTEREST, WHICH IS EXCITING FOR THE MAJORITY! 

To reach as many people as possible you have to choose a topic which is interesting for many people as possible – Simple and easy !Why ? Special and extraordinary things will be examined more critically and its harder to reach the mass as sometimes its to special.

1. Which topics are interesting on Instagram ? 

Sport, Fitness, Beauty, Fashion, Travel, Hotels, Shopping, Food, Photography in general

Please avoid low quality staff images, behind the scenes or self made selfies – thats not pretty cool for a brand to present this images with that visuals.

2. Whats the best the time to upload a picture?

Most of the Instagramers from Europe are very active between 9am -20pm. Thats why i suggest to start with the first picture at 9am, the second at 2pm and the last one at 7pm.Those times are just from statistics too, which show the most engangement of using the internet.  People use Instagram in the morning drinking a coffee – afternoon before, after or during their lunch and in the evening when they finished work.

If you like to reach people from the continents you need to change the posting time as there is a time difference for USA or the asian destinations. The most important thing is to post regularly in the beginning to get people used to your upload times.

NO GO:  I see many Account posting 1 picture on Monday then 2 days gap and on thursday or friday 5 in a row!

3. Who often do i have to like other images ? 

As often as you can! Your own Engagement is especially in the beginnt the most important part to gain new follower. You can not upload a picture and then just follow your regular work or doing something else and wait for a fast growth. Instagram is a big Community and being a part of this is do the same what you expect from your follower. You want them to like and comment ? Then do the same! Simple and easy!

  • Select 2-3 hashtags which fits to your brand topic
  • Start liking and commenting those in the morning, afternoon and evening ( as often as you can)
  • Try to like and comment in the beginning images with less then 500 likes as this will be seen in their feed ( People who get more then 1000 Likes, could miss this as they won’t notice your engagement (Take a look at the example)
  • If you like and comment images of big Accounts – try do do this in the first 20 minutes as the big instagramers pay more attention in the first minutes after their upload  then after 1 hour ( the main traffic happens in the beginning)

4. Reply to your comments or questions!

The biggest mistake a brand can do on Instagram is not replying to your fans. You dort need to reply everytime and to everyone – but in the beginning you should try and if there are questions regarding your brand – you have to answer !  If you don’t do – please do not complain about not growing or loosing fans. Its also written in the community guidelines : Be a part of the community and behave like this (You are not privileged because you are brand)!

Here is an example of TUI Germany – yes i am working with them and this is the reason why! They are taking time to reply and comment – not all the time, but enough to get seen by the community.

5. Who should i follow ? 

When is see an account with 2000 or 5000 Following i would never follow them – why  ??

I know they will never have time to check my images – they just follow as many people as possible to be followed back!   Please read the community guidlines again!   I am following around 300 people and this takes already a lot of time (3-4hozrs at least every day) to like and comment the feed. If you follow more then 1000 people – i promise you that you won’t make it to like them or even see all images.

  • Look for account which a similar in the topic for more inspiration
  • Other brands to see how they work – its never wrong to see your competitors work
  • Instagramer, which could represent your brand ( ab 40.000 Follower ) – for a possible cooperation
  • Don’t follow or your friends, family, people you have met during an event or everyone from the company ( you are still a brand and not a buddy)
  • Follow Instagram, as you will be informed about news and updates, new community hashtags and get more inspiration

I suggest to follow at least 300 people in the beginning to get used to the activities. If you follow bigger accounts, you have to be patient until they follow back – but if the do and like you pics its a bigger reach as their follow can see this in the timeline and could follow you back too.

Exapmple: If i like a picture of brand – 240k people can see this and for sure you could get more of my followers as someone with only 1000 Follower likes your picture (then only 1000 people see this)

6. Which hashtags should i use?

Please don’t use #all #words #in #your #description #as #a #hashtag . As a brand you should try to brand one main hashtag which will be used by the community –  You can use this Hashtag in the description to teach the fans. The goal is that your brand and the hashtag goes viral one day by their own. You can upload other hashtags after you have posted the picture (as your own comment)

  • Hashtags which are related to the picture ( #sunset, #dog, #hotel or what ever its in the picture)
  • Community Hashtags, as those are used for repost and big accounts do this often – this could bring you new follower from the community (#beautifuldestinations #photooftheday #ig_nature #beautifulhotels , #igers_city , #instagood .)
  • Trending Hashtags ( There are many apps for this)  – which are popular and most used?

You can use up to 30 Hashtags as long as you don’t place them in the description. The description is important to underline the message of the picture and not to confuse people with hashtags.

7. Should i repost images from the community ?

If you announced this before with a special hashtag, then its ok to repost 1-2 images a week (of course with mentioning the user!). Don’t this to often as the people want to see your own content as a brand. If i see an account only with reposts i am getting tired pretty fast as i excepted images from the brand and not other people. Its not a good sign – as it could mean you don’t have your own content.

Conclusion: Instagram is a social network with a good chance to get in contact as a brand with your fans. You want Fans that show engagement  – you want more Follower – then start engaging yourself and be a part of the community.
