Ich habe das wahre New York gesehen! Über den Dächern mit den Instagramern!
Das erste mal ging es für mich nach New York! Ich war so aufgeregt und gespannt, da es ja DIE Stadt ist, die man unbedingt mal gesehen haben muss. Ja es ist so wie man es sich vorstellt und 1000 Mal besser. Ausser den üblichen Plätzen, die man sehen sollte – zeige ich euch heute auch das “wahre” New York, welches sich bei einem Treffen mit den New Yorker Instagramern geboten hat.
Der Jungfernflug – Der Flieger wurde auf den Namen “Paradiesvogel” getauft
Mit dem Paradiesvogel von TUIFLY ging es über Island direkt in ca. 6 Stunden nach New York. Der Flug war sehr entspannt und ich konnte es kaum abwarten.

Mein Zimmer
Vom Flughafen ging die Fahrt mit dem Bus ins Hotel . Der Stau ist schon gigantisch, so hat sich die Fahrt am Ende doch noch etwas hingezogen, aber das ist eben New York und kein Dorf. Mitten am berühmten Times Square ging es endlich ins New York Marriott Marquis Hotel.
Times Aquare
Es war zwar schon spät, aber ich konnte eh nicht schlafen und da bin schnell mal nach unten gegangen. Das Hotel war direkt am Time Square und gegen 22 Uhr war hier richtig was los. So viele Menschen, die noch unterwegs waren. Als hätte hier der Tag erst begonnen. Es ist echt der Wahnsinn was um diese Uhrzeit hier los was.
Am nächsten Morgen schlendert ich bis zum berühmten Central Park, den ich bisher nur aus einem Play Station kannte.
Scheinbar war ich nicht früh genug aufgestanden, denn es waren wieder sehr viele Leute unterwegs.
Das ist der Times Square – Voll mit bunten Leuchtreklamen und tausenden von Menschen. Wo kommen die alle nur her ??? Es ist echt unglaublich, wenn man das erste Mal hier ist. Ich war etwas erschlagen von den ganzen Leuchtschildern, aber es war ein herrliches Gefühl.
Aus dem Central Park hat man ebenfalls eine tolle Aussicht. Der Park ist sehr groß und früh morgens trifft man hier jede Menge Jogger oder Spaziergängen mit Hunden und Touristen.
Der Weg zurück ins Hotel führte an riesigen Häuser vorbei und zahlreichen Geschäften.
New York ist einfach nur unglaublich groß. Wenn man hier durch die Strassen läuft und den tausenden von Menschen begegnet, fühlt man sich sehr klein.
Es ist wahr- es ist die Stadt die niemals schläft. Ich dachte schon Berlin wäre hektisch, aber hier in New York laufen die Uhren noch schneller.
Was wäre New York ohne die Brooklyn Bridge ? Group Zero, Financal District oder dem Besuch auf dem Top of the Rock ? Also log geht’s !
Ich bin wohl insgesamt mehrere Stunden durch New York gelaufen und gefahren und habe insgesamt alle wichtigen Punkte gesehen. Aber das richtige New York sollte ich noch kennen lernen.
Brooklyn Bridge
Hier sieht man die bekannte Brooklyn Bridge. Hier tummeln sich ebenfalls sehr viele Touristen. Vom Zentrum der Stadt fährt man am besten mit der Bahn.
Eine kleine Tour durch das Zentrum am Trump Tower vorbei.
Und natürlich der Ground Zero. Als ich da war, wurde hier noch leider gebaut. Inzwischen ist es möglich die Plattform auf dem neuen Gebäude zu besuchen.
Es ist auch ganz klar, dass ich mir die Wall Street genauer anschauen musste – und wie erwartet laufen hier ähnlich wie vielleicht in Frankfurt viele Business Leute herum.
Typisch für New York sind auch die qualmenden Gulli Deckel – ich habe auch einen gefunden.
Die Häuser an der Wallstreet scheinen noch höher und imposanter zu sein als im restlichen New York.

Zwischen den gelben Taxen und den teueren großen Autos, trifft man auch gelegentlich den einen oder anderen Instagramer. Und so kommt dann eine ganze andere Geschichte raus und ein ganz anderes New York, als ich es erwartet habe.
Mit den Instagramern ging es dann auf die Dächer von New York. Ich kam mir vor wie in einem Film. Ihr kennt bestimmt diese Leitern an den Häusern ? Hier musste man rauf und dann ins Treppenhaus eines Gebäudes um dann endlich auf das Dach zu kommen. Dieses Fenster mit dem Graffiti Herz ist in einem Haus, welches einen fantastischen Ausblick vom Dach hat. Das hatte schon mehr New York style.

Selbstverständlich darf man sich als Instagramer so ein Treppenhaus nicht entgehen lassen. Und das kommt dann dabei raus. Wer nicht so der eingefleischte Freak ist wie wir – das ist ein relativ häufiges Motiv bei Instagram (Bild in Bild + Treppenhaus von oben dazu)
Wir sind dann oben angekommen und nur ein kleiner Zaun gewährte an einer Stelle den Schutz nach unten zu fallen. Der Zaun war mehr als Dekoration gedacht. Inzwischen waren auch andere Instagramer aus New York oben auf dem Dach angekommen. Also man kann das schon als Instameet deklarieren.

Diese Aussicht ist dann unbezahlbar – hierfür kann man sich kein Ticket kaufen und das Gebäude steht auch in keinem Reiseführer.

Für die bessere Aussicht, muss man auch etwas weiter nach oben klettern. Wer mich aber schon etwas kennt, weiss genau, dass ich Höhenangst habe und nicht dort oben gestanden habe, sondern fest mit beiden Beinen auf dem Dach. Guckt euch dieses Dach an – dieses Gefühl hier oben zu stehen, dieses Aussicht geniessen zu können und zu wissen, das man in New York ist – ist einfach unbeschreiblich.
So was kriege ich eben nicht hin. Mutig an der Kante für die absolut beste Aussicht und ein gelungenes Foto. Wer jetzt gleich Angst um den jungen Mann bekommt, dem muss ich sagen, dass viele Instagramer dieses achtsam und gekonnt machen – oder gar nicht wie ich

Instagramer bei der Arbeit
Ich bin zwar nicht überall raufgeklettert, aber eine schöne Aussicht konnte ich trotzdem einfangen.
Es war eine große Freude die Instagramer alle kennenzulernen und noch eine größere Freude, dass sie mir diesen Anblick ermöglicht haben und einen unvergesslichen Tag und Abend verschafft haben. Besonders erwähne möchte ich hier @anthonyn1cholas & @fliickman, die das Erlebnis ins Leben gerufen haben und tolle Guides waren. Ok, am letzte Tag musste ich aber trotzdem noch den Touristen spielen und zum Top of the Rock gehen. Das wäre ein Verbrechen, wenn man es nicht macht. Hier bietet sich einem die Skyline von New York.
Ihr werdet vor Eintritt natürlich gründlich gescannt und kontrolliert. Dafür kann man hier wirklich über mehrere Plattformen eine sehr gute Aussicht geniessen.
So das wars jetzt mit New York – aber ich muss erwähnen, dass ich auch U-Bahn gefahren bin, mich nicht verfahren habe und das Licht in der Bahn nicht so flackert oder gar ausgeht, wie man das oft in den Filmen sieht. Gelegentlich bekommt man dafür aber eine lustige Tanzeinlage geboten. Das Video hat mich dann damit 1$ gekostet, da ich die Vorführung auch klasse fand.
Das ist das wahre New York 🙂
