Spindleuv Mlyn is a town in Czech in the Czech Republic in the Krkonoše. The town is one of the most well-known and most frequented mountain resorts in the Czech Republic. I spend one week in the winter wonderland taking all moments with my new Sony Xperia z1 and no other cam.
The first day i was very excited about learning how to ski for the first time and if i am going to miss my DSLR camera ? The view from the window was just wonderful and beautiful. This is my first picture taken with the Sony Xperia and the automatic mode … and without editing the picture!
The fantastic view of the mountains reminded me at the same time that today i would start my first ski school lesson with other beginners. I was very excited but couldn’t wait to go up and see the view from above.I wanted to have one of those magic views from the top but first i had to manage the challenge with the ski and the ski lift.
The Ski bus was already waiting and i could see that everyone was excited while stowing their ski stuff in the trunk of the bus. I was in the extreme beginner group with some girls from Poland and few guys from Germany. The frist day was a bit boring with some gymnastic and simple ski basic exercises how to downhill ride without falling. Guess what ? I didn’t made it.
I don’t know if i ever mentioned it, but i am afraid of hights. Here was then my next challenge to take a picture while sitting in the lift, don’t let the Sony mobile fall down and take a good capture at the same moment. Yes, i made it – it took me just three times with the Sony beacause the display is very big and the focused was set automatically. Even with my thick handgloves i didn’t had any problem to take a picture – i just used the button on the side to capture that amazing view.
Finally i reached the top of the mountain and realized that there was a new problem. It was high and so many people who went down the hill very fast. After 10 minutes starring at the small bar which was at the top and thinking about taking a drink frist i decided to do the same and try to catch some moments while trying not to fall down or cross other people.
I fell down for three times but dind’t run over other people and could even make cool shots. It was time to go back to the hotel and relax a bit at the bar. If you ever go to Spindleuv Mlyn you should try “Williams pear brandy”. It is a shot with a piece of pear which you eat first.
The next day was very foggy but we went by car to explore the city and try out the quality of the Sony Xperia z1. This image above was taken while we drove with the car. I just open the window and push the button and i was surprised by the result – no edit needed!
I woke up the next day and was so happy to see a perfect blue sky through the window. Finally i had my colors in Spindlerun Mlyn and was ready to go up again to the top of the hill.
The Sony Xperia z1 has a very big display which realy shows the preview of the result you can see here. I saw the blue sky and all vibrant colors on my display and started taking pictures. At the end i was surprised about the quality, the contrast and the colors of all of my images. I am not kidding, i am used to add more colors to all my pics, but not this time. The best about the Sony Xperia is the automatic mode which makes taking picture so easy and don’t need time to read a manual about settings. Of course you can change all modes if you like.
Why spending time with changing settings – just take a picture and enjoy the result. You will keep your memories real with the Sony Xperia Z1 without editing.
