7 Days in Alberta with Lauren from Australia, Sean from UK and our fantastic tourguide Jeff from Jasper (Thats where i would like to go one day too). The Journey was organized in cooperation with Travel Alberta or @travelalberta on Instagram.
Day 1: I arrived at 5pm in Calgary at the Hotel Arts
This was a very sweet surprise waiting for me 🙂
In the evening we took some city shots.
This is the “Peace Bridge” in Calgary
Day 2: Visiting the Yamnsuka Wolfdog Sanctuary (You can find them on Instagram at @yamnuskadwsanct
Time to feed the hungry wolfs.
Guess he liked my food. They look a bit scary but at the same time very cute too – very interesting animals.
Sean is having fun with one of the Wolfs.
On the way back to Calgary we stopped at that frozen Lake:
Thats me in my red “Mamouth” Parker by Bench at the Lake.
This lake is called “Spray Lakes” – its in Kananaskis.
Happy about that view even if it was really cold.
Jeff & Sean are exploring the Lake, while i am taking a behind the scenes pictures.
On the way to Banff we found that magic scenery. (Yes thats our car)
Movie time: We interrupted a movie team doing a session. Take 1:
Sean & Jeff are already practicing 🙂
Thats the view we captured on our way.
Last station on the way to Banff
Day 3: Exploring Banff National Park
This is the lake Minnewanka and a huge mountain 🙂
May i introduce: Mountain Rundle – That mountain is a giant!
A magic reflection of Mr. Rundle in the Sunset
Our car looked every day more and more beautiful 😛
Close to Lake Minnewanka we found that amazing nature reflection. Here you can see Instagramers at work.
The ends with a Sunset at Two Jacks Lake with fantastic colors.
Day 4: Ski Day at Sunshine Village (@sunshinevillage on Instagram)
We are ready to rock – Me & Sean on the way to the top with the gondola.
Sunshine Village is a huge Ski resort.
This is Andrew – our fantastic ski instructor!
This is a huge area – i had much fun, even if i am a real beginner.
Thanks to Andrew for all the advices and the very good ski lesson. 🙂
Day 5: More Ski Lessons at Lake Louise Resort (@SkiLouise on Instagram)
Love the wooden style! And they have delicious food there 🙂
This is the second try to improve our ski skills – together with Conor – our next Ski Instructor we had again much fun.
We are almost professionals 🙂
I didnt expect this that high – everyone should know that i am afraid of heights.
Enjoying the beautiful view with Lauren.
Sean ” The Machine” & Lauren are ready to rock the slopes!
In the Afternoon we arrived at Lake Louise:
An ice castle at the Lake Louise! What a great idea. Lets play Game of thrones ?
Even if everything was covered by snow – the Lake looks magic with that little wooden house in the background.
I am not tired 🙂 I am an snow angel 🙂
This is Jeff playing around!
Day 6: on the way back to Calgary :
We started very early this morning to capture as many impressions as possible. Thats me again at work. Happy about my red Mamouth Parker by Bench
And a short selfie 🙂 My Beanie is also by Bench
Thanks Sean for that beautiful picture.
A magic view on our way back to Calgary.
This is the place where we got wet feed while crashing through the thin ice. But it was worth it.
We stopped at Vermillion Lake again as the view was different now.
Me at work.
Jeff had bit more fun as he is already a professional lake skater. He really is and he had more fun than i had as i was afraid to crash.
Happy dance on the frozen lake.
Enjoying the view for the last few moments.
Which way to go now ?
City of Canmore and time for Lunch.
The weather was perfect for that landscape scenery.
I stopped every second minute to take a picture.
Thanks to Jeff for crashing that ice into pieces and getting wet 🙂
On the way we stopped again as we found something interesting.
Not Sean 🙂 Something interesting…
Ok this is interesting … Instagramers at work 😛
Jeff is also interesting.. but we found that..
Cute Mountain sheeps. running around and waiting to be captured by crazy Instagramers. Such a sweetie.
We arrived for sunset at another frozen Lake which was very interesting as you can see Sean’s face expression.
Instagramers at work and mobile photography only 🙂
Cars were driving on that lake! You could see how they were ice fishing. I am not kidding.
This was the subject that we captured – a piece of wood.
This is how it looks like – but i am not sure what Lauren and Sean are capturing ?
We arrived at the Fairmont Palliser Hotel (@fairmontpallisier on Instagram) and went to a bar for a last beer.
Thanks to Travel Alberta (Jeff Bartlett and Nancy Smith) for a magic adventure and fantastic impressions – I hope to visit Alberta one day again.
Thanks also to Bench for my red Mammoth Parker & the black beanie + scarf. A perfect outfit for every moment.
